Here we go… my first official newborn session in the new Lower Lonsdale studio! I had briefly met this family when they booked last fall, and I was really looking forward to seeing them again. It ended up being a great morning… their sweet baby boy slept like a champ, and their stylish little 2 year old kept me fully entertained. Actually, she even helped out! Check out an adorable behind-the-scenes pic up on my instagram 🙂
Well it turns out that being in a new space has me feeling quite inspired, so I’ve been trying out some new things. First, the oh-so-popular “potato sack pose”. Scroll about half-way down and look for a little teddy bear… that’s the one. Although this pose is much less natural that what I usually do, it’s SO cute, and a really great way to show off baby’s face. I’m pretty sure this is going to be a popular request from expectant mamas!
Something else I’m working on is being able to offer a bit of a different look for the sibling and family portion of the newborn session. Although I love the classic images, I’m excited to have big windows, white walls and a white couch so I can create some more relaxed and natural images of families with their newborns. I tried sibling images on the couch this session, and I really like the look so far! More to come, but for now, enjoy this little sweetheart’s session:
